Staci is the founder of Balanced Bookkeeping and a Certified Public Bookkeeper with more than 25 years of experience supporting small businesses and nonprofit organizations. She has built her practice on a simple belief: bookkeeping is far more than data entry. It is about providing clarity, strategy, and genuine peace of mind.

Her clients value her attention to detail, steady communication, and real investment in their success. And while her work revolves around numbers, Staci is anything but a boring accountant. She keeps things light and approachable, bringing a sense of humor to the process so clients feel comfortable, confident, and maybe even enjoy reviewing their financials.

Outside of work, Staci is a devoted wife and proud mom to her adult daughter and an adorable fur baby. She recently joined Miami County Partners for Animal Welfare (MCPAW) as Treasurer, bringing her passion for nonprofits into her community as well. She enjoys cozy evenings knitting, getting lost in a good book, and scenic motorcycle adventures with her husband whenever the open road calls.

Kassidee joined Balanced Bookkeeping in 2022 as a full-time bookkeeper after earning her Bookkeeping Certification from the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers. She quickly built a strong foundation in day-to-day bookkeeping and client service, and in 2025 was promoted to Chief Operating Officer.

In her role as COO, Kassidee oversees daily operations, manages administrative systems, and ensures everything runs efficiently across the organization. Her bookkeeping background gives her a unique understanding of both client needs and internal workflows, allowing her to build streamlined systems that support accuracy, timeliness, and dependable service.

Outside of work, Kassidee enjoys gardening, solving puzzles, tackling home improvement projects, and spending time with her husband and their newborn son.

Mia earned her degree in Applied Business and Accounting from Edison State and has spent the past five years helping small businesses build strong financial foundations. She specializes in working with rental rehabs, construction companies, law firms, and other service-based businesses.

Mia’s favorite part of her work is partnering directly with clients, helping them grow their businesses while giving them peace of mind and confidence in their numbers.

Outside of work, you will likely find her baking from scratch, knitting, tending her garden, or exploring the United States with her husband.

Leah is an accounting professional and a graduate of Edison State Community College, where she earned her associate degree in Accounting. She began her career with Balanced Bookkeeping as an intern and quickly developed a strong interest in nonprofit accounting.

Now a full-time team member, Leah works with a diverse client base, with approximately half of her portfolio consisting of nonprofit organizations. She specializes in grant tracking and grant reporting, helping organizations maintain compliance, transparency, and strong financial stewardship.

Outside of work, Leah enjoys playing the violin, collecting gnomes, riding rollercoasters, and traveling.

Kayleigh joined Balanced Bookkeeping in 2024, bringing a strong financial background and careful attention to detail to the team. Before joining the firm, she held several roles in the banking industry where she developed experience in financial operations, accuracy, and client service.

Kayleigh graduated with honors from Edison State Community College with an associate degree in Applied Business in Accounting. Her academic foundation, combined with real-world banking experience, allows her to provide accurate, organized, and dependable support to both the team and the clients they serve.

Outside of work, Kayleigh is a devoted mother to three sons. Her faith is central to her home and guides her daily life, and she brings dedication, heart, and a positive spirit to everything she does.

Angie brings more than 30 years of professional accounting experience to the Balanced Bookkeeping team. With a background spanning multiple industries, she has managed the full bookkeeping process from recording and reconciling bank transactions to preparing and analyzing financial statements.

Known for her accuracy, reliability, and integrity, Angie excels at creating organized financial systems that keep businesses running smoothly. Her decades of hands-on experience allow her to quickly identify discrepancies, streamline processes, and deliver clear financial information that helps business owners make confident decisions.

Outside of work, Angie loves crocheting and sewing, caring for her houseplants, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

Alexa serves as a part-time bookkeeper at Balanced Bookkeeping, bringing strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to the team. She earned her Bookkeeping Certification from the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers in 2024 and takes genuine pride in maintaining accurate records and balanced accounts.

Alexa enjoys connecting with clients and providing dependable support behind the scenes, helping both administrative and bookkeeping processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Outside of work, Alexa is happily married and the proud mom of one fur baby. She finds peace caring for her horses and enjoys cooking from scratch, canning, and working on trucks alongside her husband.

Penelope is the beloved mascot of Balanced Bookkeeping and the gentlest presence in the office. This 11-year-old long-haired Chihuahua may be small, but her impact is mighty. Unlike most of her breed, Penelope does not bark. She prefers to lead with quiet charm and sweet companionship.

Born with back legs that do not always cooperate, she sometimes has a little trouble getting around. But what she lacks in speed she more than makes up for in heart. Her calm, loving nature brings balance to even the busiest bookkeeping days.

Penelope’s specialties include treat supervision, expert-level belly rub coordination, and ensuring regular cuddle breaks are properly scheduled. She firmly believes every successful business runs better with kindness, patience, and just a few extra snacks.
